We’re continuing to shine a light on the awesome team members who drive our success. The second in the series is our Office Manager and Jack of All Trades, Nele Claes. We grilled her on what makes her choose our company as the place to spend the majority of her waking hours:
#1 What do you like about working for Cloudar?
What I like most about working for this company is the fantastic atmosphere between all the colleagues. We’ve got a great vibe going: professional and driven but friendly and personal. On top of that I love how much variety I have in my tasks: I truly get to do a bit of everything. Finally, the flexibility to manage my hours and work remotely are great: it gives us all the sense that we are trusted and respected, and gives us a better life-work balance.
#2 What memory or anecdote will stick with you?
It’s hard to choose between our legendary Cloudar events! We’ve partied with the national bobsled team in Winterberg (twice), we’ve been go karting during the yearly Watou festival… and then there’s the silver medal I scored at Cloudarts, our own darts competition, and bar hopping until the early hours during the weekend we spent in Vielsalm…it’s just endless. Let’s just say, we know how to mix business with pleasure and keep the team motivated. Speaking of which, I can’t wait to get together at CloudarOnAir on December 1st!
#3 What’s your most important work milestone so far?
I would say that I’m generally proud of how I’ve held my own in this male-dominated sector, despite not having a technical background. With the support of the team, I’ve navigated my way through the AWS ecosystem and am growing as a person and as a professional.
